I’m just discovering “Dave’s True Story”
Great album. Sounds amazing on my audio setup.

Been listening to a lot of music from Sweden lately.
Anyway, even though I left the social media sites behind (best decision ever) I couldn’t help but notice that the hashtag #saccageparis is trending. The photos & videos of rats running around and the widespread destruction of the French Capital is rather disheartening.
“Live at the Jazz Bakery” from Sara Gazarek has been on my short list for a long time.
This performance of “And So It Goes,,,” is absolutely amazing. I challenge you not to fall in love…
Is Mark Oliver Everett the greatest singer? No. Is he worth listening to? 100% yes.
The introduction of “Live at Royal Albert Hall” gives a pretty good idea of his sense of humor. I wish I understood better how their lyrics and the themes they sing about fit into the American culture…

Two artists from very different backgrounds. Just stunning.
Passenger – Young As The Morning, Old As The Sea
Acoustic music for peaceful evenings.
Just discovered Kasey Chambers. Can’t stop listening to “Barricades & Brickwalls”. Very good album.
Been listening to “Missy Higgins – The EP Collectibles” a lot lately.
She’s from Melbourne and she’s pretty awesome.
This song always makes me think of an old – former – friend of mine. In all fairness she’d probably tell me to look in the mirror. Oh well, I’m an idiot. Anyway, the sound on this particular recording (Live From the Village) is absolutely amazing. Great talent all around from the musicians to the producer & sound engineers.
An absolute must.
I’m fairly disconnected from French music but I just discovered this French artist. Very French. In a good way I mean 🙂
Saw Brandi Carlile with the Old Crow Medicine at the Red Rocks Amphitheater August 14th. Pretty good show and as usual fantastic venue…
Just discovered Cocorosie. I missed the concert at the Gothic Theater last Friday 🙁
From Sweden…
One of my favorite songs these days. In response to the pervasive cynicism of our society…
Saw Lissie at the Gothic Theater in Denver, CO. Had a fantastic time. Her cover songs are all over the place; Judas Priest, Kid Cudi, Lady Gaga etc…
Need more of Melody Gardot in my life possibly…
Appalachian Music – I listened to her quite a lot when I hiked through Tennessee / Kentucky last year. It was perfect. I felt like I was in an episode of “Justified” 🙂
Can’t wait to see her live. Maybe next year…
Saw them at the Gothic Theater in Denver, CO.
Brought back some memories.
