Colorado 14er, Hiking Pyramid Peak September 25, 2015 davidf27_wp Leave a comment Climb of Pyramid Peak on September 13, 2015 Starting slightly before 3am turned out to be a bad idea. Missed the gully to the saddle and went too far… Bad thing about climbing up gullies you don’t know? Sometime it’s a dead end. After wasting two hours I finally made it to the saddle View of Pyramid Peak from the saddle The type of rocks we’re dealing with? Both stable…and loose. Depending on which one you grab The infamous “Gap” – The way down would not be fun. Looking back after crossing the “Ledge” Summit at 14025ft View of the Maroon Bells Capitol Peak in the back Self 🙂 The aspen leaves started to change color… The colorful valley Awesome mountains of the Elk Range Hiker (Glen?) and a mountain goat going back down. Glen, Pete and Desirae We decided to go back down together for safety reason. On the ledge… Mountain Goat following me Mountain Goat following me still Mountain Goat!!!! In full daylight it’s easier to see the climb up the saddle Maroon Lake / Sievers Mountains Sievers Mountains
