“Guess I just never thought of myself as an angry man.” – Raylan Givens
I thought I would go ahead with my plans of hiking Mt Democrat, Mt Cameron, Mt Lincoln and Mt Bross in spite of the recent events in Paris. In vain really. My anger is not going anywhere but so far I’ve refrained from any public statement so at least there’s that.

Grays and Torreys – Fall 2015
November 7, 2015
Snow hike of Grays and Torreys Peak on a perfect day. A little bit under eight hours.
The Kahtoola microspikes were really useful. Carried snowshoes but didn’t use them.
Arizona Trail – 2012-2014
The Arizona Trail Photo Gallery is up!

Sheltowee Trace – 2014
A short gallery of my hike along the Sheltowee Trace in Tennessee and Kentucky last year. Ended the trail with some amount of poison oak on my legs; not fun. I’ll be more careful next time I’m hiking around the smoky mountains…
Colorado Trail – 2013
A draft gallery of my hike of most of the Colorado Trail in September 2013. Hiked from Durango to Copper Mountain so far. Still have about 80 miles to do. Maybe next year…

Mt Flora, Mt Eva, Parry Peak, Mt Bancroft & James Peak
Humboldt Peak
July 25th, 2015
Nice sunrise over Crestone Needle. Reached the summit of Humboldt Peak at around 7am.
Quandary Peak via West Ridge
Making Quandary fun via alternate route. Some nice class 3 climbing. Made it to the summit too late; the Swiss had ate all the fondue!!!
Torreys & Grays via Kelso Ridge
Making Torreys & Grays a little bit more challenging. The “knife edge” was fun.
I ran from the summit of Grays back to the trailhead in about one hour. Took me a week to recover. Stupid 🙂
